Located on Santiago de Compostela's historic Rúa do Franco, Marie Miner is much more than a restaurant: it's a tribute, a decorative and culinary labor of love created by its founders , Miguel and Carol . Its name is a nod to Carol's parents, María and Rufino, and every corner of the establishment speaks with sensitivity, emotion, and an exceptional attention to detail.
We visited in January 2025 and were absolutely captivated by the experience. This restaurant not only offers a carefully curated menu, but also a setting where every decorative element adds beauty, personality, and inspiration. That's why Marie Miner is the first candidate for the Goyart Award for Best Decorated Space of the Year .
A visual tour of its most special spaces
The main entrance: warmth and welcome.
As soon as you walk through the door, you're greeted by an intimate atmosphere, with soft lighting and fine materials that set the welcoming tone of the space. The walls are decorated with a carefully curated selection of art and natural elements, and an elephant figurine, a symbol of wisdom and protection, stands guard over the entrance like a silent guardian.
The interior living room: a mix of elegance, eclecticism and personality
The heart of the restaurant is its main dining room. Here, distinctive furniture, enveloping textures, and a visual harmony that invites you to linger stand out. A black grand piano , the undisputed centerpiece of the space, adds a sophisticated and artistic air. There are no shortage of unique details: designer pendant lamps, tableware displayed like pieces of art, and decorative objects that seem to have their own story.

The most magical aspect of Marie Miner is its secret corners . Spaces with low sofas, well-integrated vegetation, and wall art compositions that combine modernity and tradition. Everything is designed to make the guest feel at home, but with a touch of inspiration.
